4 Ways Recruiting Pros Can Provide Value to Clients

As a recruiting agency, it is important to ensure that you are providing value to your clients.  If you fail to provide the best value and care to your clients, rest assured that they will find another recruiting agency that will take better care of them.

In order to provide the best value to your clients, you need to focus on 4 key items:

1. Excellent Customer Service

Recruiting is a service.  Just as with any service, it is important to provide excellent customer care to your clients.  If you do not have everyone in your recruiting agency focused on providing the utmost value in customer service to your clients, you are failing in one of the most important areas of your business.

Everyone in a recruiting agency, from recruiters, sales reps, to even your finance department needs to be fully trained and focused on providing excellent customer service at all times.  This should be one of your top values as a recruiting agency.

If your customer feels neglected or as though he is receiving poor customer care, you have a good chance at losing that customer to another agency.

Provide constant opportunities to your staff for customer service training and ensure that each department is focused on providing the best customer care to your clients each and every day.

2. Be Available

If you want to provide value to your clients, make sure that you are always available.  Don’t be that recruiting agency with people in the office who ignore ringing phones when the caller ID is unknown or when things are busy.  If your client is calling your office, they should never be ignored and someone should always be available to take their call.

Make sure that your clients are not overlooked and that someone is keeping in touch with your clients at least once a month to follow up on staffing needs and performance of your onsite staff.

3. Share Valuable Information

Do not make the only time you contact your clients be when your sales reps are calling to ask for job orders to work on.

Your sales and recruiting team should be up-to-date on the latest news when it comes to your clients’ business and industry news.  Make sure that your sales or recruiting teams are reaching out to your clients to let them know that your business truly cares about your clients’ successes.  This can be as simple as forwarding industry related articles to a hiring manager with a short note mentioning that you thought they would find a certain article interesting.

When you go out of your way to let your clients know that you care about their business, your clients will understand that you have their best interest in mind.

4. Deliver Quality Candidates

The most important thing any recruiting agency can do for their clients is to provide quality candidates.  Do not allow your team to become wrapped up in quantity of candidates or simply closing the deal.  In order to provide the best value to your client, your entire team needs to understand that their job is not to simply fill positions.  In any recruiting agency, your job is to find the best talent for your client.

When you place quality candidates with your clients, your clients will see your value and continue doing business with you in the future.
