Over the past few weeks, the Spark Hire HR blog has been discussing what employees want a lot. We have been talking about how to keep your employees happy and how to keep the employee moral up in the office. This is so important, so when we stumbled upon this infographic that shows what employees really want versus what employers think employees want, it was only right to post it here.
Often times, employers think that what is most important to employees is their pay. Compensation is certainly a big factor that plays into employee happiness, but it’s not the bottom line. As you can see from this infographic created by Mindflash and published by Visual.ly, there is some confusion between what employees really want and what employers think they want. At the bottom of the infographic you can see that most employers think that good wages are on the top of an employee’s list. However, it’s easy to see that what is most important to employees is that they are fully appreciated for their work.
Take a look for yourself and see where most of the confusion exists between what employees want and what employers think they want. You may be surprised.
